Kib and I had joined fun runs in the previous years (see post here and here) and we both enjoyed it. On the first run that I did, my son served as my photographer. He really ran with me all throughout the course. On the second run, we were both runners. In these two runs, we did five kilometers. In 2019, I'm so glad that I'm doing another fun run with my son, stepping up our game by running 10 kilometers together!
7-Eleven has been organizing running events since 2012 and for each year, 7-Eleven has been introducing something new to the running community, making each event a challenging yet a fun and memorable one. The simultaneous event in three locations across the country was first held in 2018 with over 25,000 runners who joined in the event. The same will also happen for 2019, when all participating runners from Manila, Cebu, and Davao will start running at one gun shot.
What makes 7-Eleven Run 2019 special is that it will introduce new race categories, a chance to compete in an international Asian marathon, and will even have the opportunity to win Php500,000 cash!

As you can see below the table, the top 3 Filipino male and female winners overall (combined) for 21KM, 32Km, and 42KM categories will join an international marathon in Asia, all expense paid by 7-Eleven. In addition, a bonus cash prize of Php500,000 will be given to the top Filipino runner who can beat the current 42KM record (2 hours, 18 minutes, 44 seconds).
