Western Union Introduces John Lloyd Cruz as their Newest Global Ambassador for Overseas Filipinos
Western Union is already considered as an institution in sending money locally and internationally. Sometimes I also receive money from my family abroad thru Western Union. I have also heard a lot of stories how Western Union helped them in receiving money in the shortest time possible especially during emergency situations. Indeed, Western Union fulfilled their promise of sending money to our loved ones seamlessly and quickly.
Even if Western Union is an international brand, it tries its best to cater to the needs of the local people. Western Union wants to be identified as a brand which can understand people from all walks of life. Western Union wants to have someone to represent their company who also believes in the heroism of modern-day Filipinos. John Lloyd Cruz as Western Union's Global Ambassador for Overseas Filipinos
John Lloyd Cruz accepted the role of becoming the new face of Western Union, making him the ambassador for all overseas Filipinos around the world who are sending money for better.

John Lloyd Cruz is one of the top actors in the country right now. He is acclaimed as the Philippine Box Office King for his effective portrayals in many award-winning Filipino movies. He has appeared in a lot of box-office films, and he is known for his role as "Popoy" in the movies One More Chance and A Second Chance. He had made movies abroad too (Dubai, In My Life). He was also part of the independent fantasy drama, "Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis" which won an award at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival.
Being the global ambassador for overseas Filipinos, John Lloyd will also introduce a new wave of Western Union's services as the company takes the lead in reinventing ways to transfer money in a very digital era.
The global brand campaign featuring John Lloyd Cruz as brand ambassador will roll out this year in the Philippines and in overseas countries including the United States, Canada, some countries in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia where many Filipinos live and work.
Patricia Riingen, Senior Vice President, South East Asia and Oceania of Western Union said the reason why John Lloyd Cruz was chosen as the new face of Western Union. "John Lloyd Cruz mirrors Western Union's strengths of having a long and successful track record. He also relates to Filipinos' aspirations of having an improved family life. As Western Union's brand ambassador, his new role is to advocate moving money for better to every overseas Filipino," says Riingen.

John Lloyd Cruz also expressed his happiness and enthusiasm in taking the challenge of becoming the global ambassador of Western Union.
